I’m running a marathon tomorrow

About

Kate is from Sydney, Australia, and fell in love with running in 2012 when she decided, for no particular reason that she can remember, to run a marathon. That one goal turned into a love affair with running that keeps her sane during the day, and fuels the blog at night.

Good luck tomorrow!!! I can’t wait to read all about it!
Most ridiculous thing I’ve seen in a race was a guy racing in a mascot costume. I think it was a bear. He had the full costume on so his head was covered. I can’t even begin to imagine 1) how much he sweat 2) how horribly stinky that must have been.
When I did my first Ironman I raised money for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
    Favourite pre-race ritual? Pancakes. :D

Thanks Phaedra! I can’t believe the people running in costumes! So, so sweaty.

Good luck tomorrow Kate! I’m glad to see you have been carbo-loading like a champion! When I ran the Gold Coast half last year there were two guys dressed up like Tweety Bird and Bugs Bunny not sure when they finished because those suits looked hot! The guy dressed up as Superman did well though and he was doing the full marathon :)
I hope you have a great race tomorrow and that the weather holds up. I can’t wait to hear all the stories and see your post race meal :)
    Good luck!!!!!

The costumes – jeez, it’s hard enough right?!

Thank you so much for all your love and support. I am so, so glad I met you; you feel like a friend I’ve had forever!

Awesome. Great job fundraising! I’ve raised $ for Team in Training a couple times and really owe it to them that I’m still a runner today.
