I’m in Sydney. Do we like Bananas?

About

Kate is from Sydney, Australia, and fell in love with running in 2012 when she decided, for no particular reason that she can remember, to run a marathon. That one goal turned into a love affair with running that keeps her sane during the day, and fuels the blog at night.

I like bananas but only when they are just ripe. Once they get a little brown I HATE them and they make me gag lol! I will eat them before a short run for sure. Girl you look awesome!!! The core work is working! :-)

Ohhhh I love me some bananas! I eat them normal, cook w them, freeze them for smoothies and everything!! They’re the best! I have a silly question, but what does suss mean? I’ve never heard that term!! Haha. Obvi my fave protein snack is Greek yogurt, but my favoritemeat source is any type of seafood! Have a super duper day!!! Xo

Ha, good question! Another Australianism slips through. It means suspicious, but we use it in a kind of relaxed, but very judgemental way (‘He looks a bit suss’/'that bread’s been out for a few days, it’s looking a bit suss’). I’ll have to do my bogan accent for you one day!

And seafood is AMAZING. It is the est thing about living in Sydney (close to the beach) as opposed to inland. What’s your seafood of choice?

anything!!! crab, salmon, lobster, mahi mahi, shrimp, scallops etc etc etc!!!

Isn’t it funny how road trips make you crave certain things? I always want to buy cheddar popcorn- so weird, I never want that stuff at home!
I love bananas, and use them in all sorts of things. I’ve never had texture issues with food, so I eat them plain as well.
    Your cards are awesome!!

Thanks Laura! Glad to know I’m not the only food-specific-driver on the road. Cheddar popcorn sounds perfect :-D

I love bananas, I think I eat one every day with breakfast. My latest creation is a banana protein cake which I keep experimenting with and making even better http://runnershoe.blogspot.com/2012/06/new-beginning.html

Thanks for that link, that’s one I’m going to try! I love banana cake and everything banana except the banana by itself. Weird or what? I’m so glad you got a Liebster Award, I love those posts.

That is such a cool shirt! Haha I love it! And I like bananas, but I prefer them sliced up!

    • http://www.runwithkate.com Kate

That’s a good point too – I really didn’t think this through huh? I don’t like bananas, so bam, straight to eating it right out of the skin. Thanks Katie!

    1. I really want to try one of those frogs now.
    2. Love the shirt!
    3. Crap girl can I borrow your body? Maybe just for a week so I can flaunt it at the beach.

      Thanks Abby!

That shirt is the best thing ever. I wore it to the gym today as well (now it’s in the wash – ick). Sure you can borrow it, just don’t try to eat too much processed stuff, that tummy likes to hurt like crazy without notice. …especially while running :-/

I like bananas especially the ripe ones. Moreover banana shakes have always been my old time favorite. While travelling, I always carry a pack of banana chips. They are light, yummy to taste and healthy too. I’m a foodie but never tried cooking them. Hope to try some day!

I’d forgotten about banana shakes! Good one – they are heaps better blended with other things. Banana chips are great too – kind of like lollies, but you feel less bad eating them.

I love bananas..in everything, by themselves, whatever. I almost always have a banana before a run.

I won’t go into the whole chicken thing. (How do I make a crying emoticon?)

I love my Moo cards! They are so cool!

Sorry Debbie! If I find a crying emoticon, I’ll post it for you.

Bananas are AMAZING pre-run fuel. How have I only just learnt this?

Bananas remind me of my school days. Mom used to add bananas in my breakfast before going to school. Since then the yellow fruit has been my old time favorite.

There’s something about those childhood memories! Whenever I’m sick I need vegemite on toast, and pikelets will always remind me of my grandmother. :-)
